Our Review
The Desktop Cross-Cut Shredder is designed for occasional use at home. It offers a very high security shredding. It is capable of cutting up to 5 sheets of paper at a time into 4 x 39mm pieces. Confetti cut shredders, also known as cross cut shredders, are capable of first cutting the paper lengthwise and then strip wise at regular intervals. The greater the level of security required the shorter is the length of the cross cut. Shredders that offer a higher security level cut even smaller. The small size of the shredded pieces not only offers security but also reduces the bulk waste to a great extent.
It features a 220mm throat. The throat is that part of the shredder where papers are fed for shredding purposes. The shredder also comes with a safety lock, which disables the shredder and prevents accidental activation. It also possesses an 8litre bin capable of holding the shredded pieces. Its auto start and reverse feature makes its operation easier. The bin can also be easily removed for emptying. Apart from paper the shredder is also capable of shredding credit cards, staples, CDs. Thus it is a great buy.
