The Fellowes Powershred PS-68Ct is a cross-cut shredder that offers high security. Cross-cut shredders are capable of shredding papers vertically and horizontally into confetti-like pieces. These cut pieces compress very well and hence do not require frequent emptying of the basket. The PS-68Ct comes with a 23 liters pull-out basket for holding waste pieces. This shredder is capable of shredding A4 size papers and is hence ideal for heavy use in home or offices. The shredder cross-cuts 8 sheets at a time into 3.9 x 50mm pieces and has an extended run time of 10 minutes. It features the SafeSense technology that allows the machine to stop automatically if it accidentally comes in contact with someone’s hand or fingers during paper entry. It also comes with a turbo jam release function to help clear jams with ease.
The electronic auto-start reverse functions make it easier to operate the device. Its unique silent shred technology minimizes the noise. This is ideal for a shared work environment. Apart from paper the shredder is also capable of shredding staples, credit cards and paper clips. There is a 2 years warranty on the product and a 5 years on the cutter.
