The Fellowes Powershred SB-87C is a cross cut shredder designed for professional use. The machine is fitted with the SafeSense technology that stops the shredder automatically when it accidentally comes in contact with someone’s hands during paper entry. The shredder has an extended run time of 20minutes. It has a 15 sheet capacity which makes it ideal for offices. Not only does the shredder shred paper, its steel cutters are also capable of destroying paper clips, staples- even CDs. This cross-cut shredder is capable of reducing documents into 3.9 x 38mm confetti like pieces. It can shred up to 50-100 times per day. This implies per day about 1500 sheets are shred.
The shredder comes with a throat width of 230mm. It is capable of accepting A4 paper documents. Its electronic auto start / stop features ensure a quick and easy automatic shredder operation. It also possesses a sheet capacity measuring gauge that alerts the operator whenever there is a jam. For waste collection a 27 liter bin is provided that can be easily pulled out to facilitate emptying.
