The HSM S5 is a strip-cut shredder is designed for use in small offices and home offices. Strip-cut shredders also called spaghetti-cut shredders cut paper into horizontal strips that are as long as the size of the paper. These types of shredders offer the least level of security. However, these shredders are able to shred large volumes of paper. Shredding important documents that are no longer needed prevents them from being misused. The shred size of the shredder is 0.28 inches. The shredding speed is 25.59ft/min. The throat size is 8.75inches. The throat is that part of the shredder where the paper is fed into. The HSM S5 shred up to 5 sheets of paper into 7mm pieces. It has a cutting head with a pull-out waste bin of 13litres for collecting waste materials. It also comes with automatic start/stop functions. This means the shredder is capable of automatically starting the shredder operation when paper is fed into the throat and automatically stops operation when the shredding is complete.
