The Fellowes P-40 is a strip cut shredder designed mainly for home or even small offices. It is capable of shredding documents up to ¼ strips. It can shred up to 8 sheets per pass for about 10 to 12 times every day. That comes to about 160 sheets per day. At a time 9 sheets of standard size can be inserted. Apart from papers, staples, credit cards and CDs are also shredded. Besides, it also has the electronic start/ stop options that ensure a convenient shredding operation. For removal of wastes it possesses a 3.7 gallon basket which can be easily emptied with the help of a handle.
The shredder also comes with a sheet capacity measuring gauge that helps reduce the risk of paper jam. A safety lock disables the shredder and prevents accidental activation of the shredder. By not shredding confidential paper waste one can put ones home or office at risk. Confidential documents can be anything ranging from bank statements, utility bills, credit cards or legal documents.
